A Look into the Past

Dill Mill Gayye is a sequel to a very popular Star Plus series - Sanjeevani, a medical boon.

Sanjeevani was aired from 2002 to 2004. Sanjivani was a story about 4 medial interns at Sanjivani hospital, namely, Dr. Juhi, Dr. Rahul, Dr. Simran and Dr. Omi. The story had its own twists and turns. Sanjivani was a pathbreaking series making its way between saas-bahu sagas, however, it ended on a low note.

Dill Mill Gayye is the second season following the same medical background story, but this time, it's the story of 5 interns - Dr. Ridhima, Dr. Armaan, Dr. Atul, Dr. Anjali and Dr. Sapna.

Omi-Atul Relationship

Dr. Umesh Joshi a.k.a Omi was a laugh riot. He believed in curing patients with a smile. A room could never be gloomy in his presence. By the end of Sanjivani, Omi was diagnosed with aids. He had adopted a son, who may not be his own blood but was exactly like him. His son went on to study medicine just like his dad and has proven to be equally intelligent. His son is none other than Dr. Atul. Atul is just as lively and funny like his dad.
